Version 11.0:
The Railways of Devon and Cornwall (RDC) hugely modifies and extends DTG’s ‘Riviera Line’. Much of the original Riviera Line scenery has been improved and brought up to date. There’s track and detailed scenery all the way from Whiteball Summit (near Taunton) to Liskeard and many other areas beyond, including from Exeter to Okehampton, Truro to Redruth, and around Hayle, St Austell, Par, St Blazey and Penzance. There’s also track and stations only between Truro and Falmouth; Whiteball Tunnel and Bristol; Copplestone and Barnstaple and Honiton and Axminster.
The completed areas have incredibly detailed, accurate scenery. Updates to the route include real life changes as they occur or are planned, for example the new Exeter depot and stations at Marsh Barton and Okehampton Parkway, and the new sea wall at Dawlish.

The route manual includes specifics about the detailed areas, installation instructions and all the required routes you’ll need to install and use the route. It’s really important that you read it carefully before you add it to your system.
The route includes 95 scenarios of real life and other workings across the route, from steam, diesel and classic DMU railtours to accurate depictions of the contemporary and recent timetables.

Whiteball Summit to Exeter

20 miles of stunning original scenery developed by the High Speed Tracks which includes some lovingly crafted countryside scenes on the fast descent from Whiteball Summit on the Somerset border to Exeter St Davids. 

Exeter to Plymouth

​The Exeter to Plymouth section of the route includes a substantially reworked Exeter St Davids station. The TMD there has had the new GWR depot. Several original Riviera Line areas have been updated and improved, including the repaired sea wall at Dawlish. There’s all new track between Aller Junction (Newton Abbot) and Plymouth, with detailed scenery throughout, including at Laira Depot.

Plymouth to Liskeard

​RDC includes detailed scenery along the Cornish Main Line to Liskeard, with all its gradients, curves, viaducts and varying speed restrictions; driving this section needs a lot of concentration!
We’ve worked hard to make all the valleys, tunnels, cuttings and estuaries as accurate as possible.

Penzance, St Erth, Hayle and St Ives

​The Penzance and Long Rock areas have been modelled in minute detail, with custom assets for the station and depot.
Detailing starts again at St Erth and includes the entire St Ives branch; one of the most beautiful lines in the country.
Also detailed is the CML between St Erth and the old tin exporting harbour at Hayle.

Par, St Blazey, St Austell and Burngullow

​The CML between Par and St Austell and on to Burngullow is fully detailed, including the chord towards St Blazey, the depot there,the docks and its sidings.
The scenarios include a steam railtour with turning on the St Blazey table, with accurate loco and shunting movements.

Other Devon lines and branches

​You can enjoy driving a fully detailed West of England Main Line from Exeter St Davids up the 1:37 incline to Exeter Central and on to Honiton. After that, for now, it’s line, signalling and stations to Axminster.
You can also enjoy fully detailed and completed branches to Gunnislake, Exmouth and between Paignton and Kingswear (the Paignton and Dartmouth Railway).
The old Southern Railway ‘withered arm’ is scenery complete from Exeter to Okehampton and Meldon Quarry, and the Tarka Line to Barnstaple is fully detailed to Copplestone. After that it’s track, signalling and stations to Barnstaple.
The South Devon Railway from Totnes to Buckfastleigh is included, but as track, signalling and stations only at the moment.

Other Cornish Branches

The St Ives branch from St Erth and the Liskeard to Looe branch are both included at present,in all their scenic splendour!


In time we’ll add all of the Cornish branches; to Newquay, Fowey, Looe and some industrial locations.
Most of them are already there as stubs; watch this space!
